Former Acting Director of ICE Thomas Homan warned that Joe Biden is going to create a disaster on the border. Between his reversal of Trump’s policies and Biden’s promise of amnesty, we could see an illegal immigrant surge of historic proportions during the Biden administration.
Homan told Fox News anchor John Roberts that Biden’s words matter.
“The promises he has made are going to entice people to come to this country no matter what he says now. It’s already starting. The criminal gangs have already figured out the transportation routes. The caravans are already loaded up and coming and more is going to come. You’re going to see a surge at the border that we’ve never seen before because of the words of Joe Biden. …He put himself in front of the country and to me, that is disgusting.”

One of the great ironies of this is that we have so many Americans that have lost jobs because of the government’s overreaction to COVID-19. These are good people who want to work and want to support their families, but the government has crippled or driven so many companies out of business that they’re having trouble finding a job. We are sending out checks. We are telling landlords they can’t evict people for not paying the rent and meanwhile, Joe Biden’s words and actions are signaling to the world that our borders are wide open and that anyone who comes here will end up getting citizenship. It’s really not rocket science. Illegal immigrants respond to incentives. If they think security is light and there is a job and amnesty waiting in America, they are going to flood in. Sadly for the country, the things Joe Biden has been saying publicly are giving them just that impression.
