Former World Series Champion Slams Former Team Over Anthem Kneeling

Former MLB Player Aubrey Huff slammed his former team, the San Francisco Giants, after numerous players on the team knelt before the national anthem.

The team supported the players, tweeting a video of the kneeling with a hashtag #BlackLivesMatter.

Huff responded by quote-tweeting the video, saying that he’s proud to not be invited to the Giants’ ten-year World Series reunion, since he is “PRO America.”

Huff then tweeted #AllLivesMatter.

Later on, Huff tweeted, “[W]ay to go @SFGiants & @mlb you had a chance to take people’s mind off the crazy world they live in,” Huff said. “Instead you reminded them of the world they are trying to escape.”

Huff, well-known for his conservatism and Trump support, is showing the sentiment that plenty of other fans are feeling as well.

We should take this as a lesson. More of us, no matter how much we love sports, need to sit out to send them a message. We won’t tolerate their politicizing the one thing we turn to in order to forget about politics.
