In uttering a line that’s music to the (potentially future) Trump campaign’s ears, Dr. Anthony Fauci revealed that if Donald Trump were to retake the White House following the 2024 election, he’d be heading for the exit.

Fauci was asked by alleged journalist Jim Acosta if he’d want to remain in his post if Trump were to become president again, which prompted a “well, no.”

“If you look at the history of what the response was during the administration, I think, you know, at best, you can say it wasn’t optimal. And I think just, history will speak for itself about that,” Fauci told the cosplay journalist in slamming the Trump administration’s COVID response that he was in charge of.

“You would not want to serve with Trump again though? That’s fair to say? Acosta followed up with. “Yeah. For sure” Fauci replied.

Trump has been teasing a 2024 run at nearly all of his recent rallies, and former First Lady Melania added to the speculation in her first post-White House interview, smirking while telling Fox News “never say never” when asked if she could see herself living in the White House again.
