In a truly amazing moment during an interview on the radio show “The Breakfast Club,” Green Party leader and presidential candidate Jill Stein revealed her ignorance of basic civics.
After arguing that her campaign was winnable in all fifty states despite being off ballot in thirteen of them (three of which don’t allow write-ins), she was asked how many seats are in the House of Representatives.
“How many total are there? What is it? Six hundred?”
Watch for yourself:
Perhaps this isn’t surprising given the zero seats that the Green Party currently has in the House and Senate - and all state legislatures. Of all 519,682 other elected officials in the country, Green Party members hold 143 of them, for 0.027% market share.
