IRS Agent Seeks Whistleblower Protection to Expose Corruption in Hunter Biden Tax Investigation

A whistleblower in the Hunter Biden’s tax probe is looking to come forward to expose how political corruption is tainting the investigation. 

Attorney Mark Lytle, who is representing the whistleblower-to-be, told CBS that his client wants to come forward to congress and be questioned about what he knows under proper legal protections. 

Specifically, Lytle says his client will speak out about allegations that the Hunter investigation has been stymied by “preferential treatment and politics.” 

In a letter, Lytle said that his client’s information would “contradict sworn testimony to Congress by a senior political appointee” - the appointee likely being Attorney General Merrick Garland. Without specifics, some have speculated that it’s Garland testimony back in a March Senate hearing that he promises “To ensure that [Veteran U.S. Attorney David Weiss] is able to carry out his investigation and that he be able to run it.”

As is standard, when Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about the whistleblower, she refused to answer, and unlike her predecessor, made no commitment to circle back.
