You can always count on the media-proclaimed pandemic expert Dr. Anthony Fauci to alter the prevailing wisdom every couple of weeks.
Nearly two weeks ago, CNN host Dr. Sanjay Gupta asked “There was a study that came out of Israel about natural immunity, and basically the headline was that natural immunity provides a lot of protection, even better than the vaccine alone. What are people to make of that? People talk about vaccine mandates… I hear from people all the time who say ‘I had COVID, I’m protected, and the study says even more protected than the vaccine alone.’ Should they get the vaccine? How do you make the case to them?”
To which the liberal messiah replied “That’s a really good point…I don’t really have a firm answer for you on that.”
While it’s surprising that Fauci hadn’t bothered to think that obvious question through, the bar is low enough where he can be commended for not simply making up an answer he’d later change his tune on.
Whether it be if COVID-19 even posed a threat to the U.S., social distancing, the safety of travel, keeping kids in schools, and masks, Fauci has changed his tune on all those issues, sometimes within just weeks. While it’s obviously the case that science adapts to new evidence, that explanation doesn’t do much to explain why Fauci has flip-flopped on seemingly every issue, flip-flopped so quickly, and never provided the “new science” for why he started singing a different tune.
See it in Fauci’s own words below:
Another thing he flip flopped on is mandatory vaccinations. Just last month Fauci said “There’s no secret that I feel that we should not have central [vaccine] mandates from the federal government,” while encouraging private businesses to mandate it. Fauci said much of the same in July of last year about a then-future vaccine: “I don’t see it on a national level merely because of all the situations you have upon encroaching upon a person’s freedom to make their own choice of their own health.”
Fauci has since endorsed a vaccine mandate for air travel, and for schoolchildren. Back in May Fauci said specifically of children that they should be encouraged, but not forced to be vaccinated.
As for what he’ll flip flop on next, I suppose we’ll just have to wait until his next TV appearance.
