John Fetterman spoke out in his defense after the Senate removed their dress code to accommodate his inability to dress himself like an adult - though most struggled to follow.
Speaking to MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, Fetterman and Hayes mocked the notion that the Senate would even have standards for professionalism, with Fetterman chiming in “of course, yeah, yes. I’ve heard about it. I’ve heard that some people are upset about it. And the right has been like losing their mind, you know they’re like ‘oh my God’ dogs and cats are living together and aren’t there more important things we should be talking about than if I’m a slob.”
After Hayes read criticism from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Fetterman fired back “Well you know her platform you know she runs on more dingaling picks uh you know and uh uh the the meetings and the uh Congress. So again, I’m not really sure why she cares how I dress. But she really takes it a different way.”
While it’s understandable that someone who suffered a stroke would be struggling with their speech, it’s incomprehensible why Democrats not only support Fetterman in his position, but pretend as if nothing is wrong.
Watch below:
While I do believe the Senate should absolutely have a dress code, I will admit that Fetterman is technically right that there are in fact biggest problems in the Senate - as his voting record is even worse than he dresses!
