During her usual routine of lying to the American public during a press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre pitched Joe Biden as the White House’s communicator-in-chief.
After a reporter asked if Biden is viewed by his administration as "equally adept in all settings in terms of communications," Jean-Pierre replied that Biden is in fact “the best communicator that we have in the White House."
While Jean-Pierre’s comment naturally drew mockery online, and even a laugh from me - her comment actually is probably factually correct when you consider Biden’s administration, just not for the reasons she implied.
Despite Joe Biden’s daily gaffes, he’s surrounded by people like Jean-Pierre (and formally Jen Psaki) who can’t answer most questions, Kamala Harris, who laughs her way through her responses with a word salad she came up with on the spot, and Pete Buttigieg, who took nearly two weeks to acknowledge the recent Ohio train derailment, among many others. Biden is no Skakespearean orator - but neither is anyone else around him.
