Keith Ellison Resigns from the DNC to Focus on ‘New Job’

Keith Ellison officially stepped down from his post at the Democratic National Committee this week; resigning from the DNC to focus on his new job as the Attorney General for the state of Minnesota.

DNC Chair Tom Perez released a statement confirming Ellison’s decision, saying “Minnesotans will have a full-time champion fighting for affordable health care, a fair economy, and opportunity for all.”

Despite accusations of domestic abuse from his former girlfriend, Ellison defeated Republican Doug Wardlow Tuesday night to become Minnesota’s next Attorney General.
