The nation was once again left baffled as to what exactly VP Kamala Harris was trying to say yesterday when she delivered a statement before the eventually-delayed launch of NASA's Artemis 1 that sounded like she was talking in predictive text.
"We have people who have been working for decades to do the work that has been about America's leadership in terms of space exploration, and today is very much on that path about showing the great work that happens...how exciting is that?" she asked.
She attracted mockery the day before for an entirely different word salad where she said the space program would benefit all mankind, "and womankind."
“I’m so proud of what is happening in terms of our space program and the leadership that the United States is providing to the world,” Harris said. “The Artemis is the beginning of the next era of what we have a history and a tradition of doing — of providing vision and inspiring innovation — in a way that is going to benefit all mankind and womankind.”
