In leaked audio, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admits that the border crisis is “unsustainable” and that “these numbers cannot continue.”
This comes after numbers released yesterday showed that illegal border crossings increased 13% from the month prior and hit a 21-year high. While Mayorkas acknowledges reality behind closed doors, not a single member of the Biden administration has yet to publicly acknowledge the border situation as a crisis.
