Legendary Coach Bobby Bowden Says He Wanted To Beat COVID-19 So He Could Vote For Trump
Former Florida State football coach Bobby Bowden said he wanted to beat COVID-19 so that he could vote for Donald Trump.
“I’ve had the chance to get a lot of wins in my life, but I really wanted to win this one because I wanted to be around to vote for President Trump.”
The 91-year-old college football Hall-of-Famer may have needed the inspiration because he noted that he had a tough time with the virus.
“I want to thank all the many, many people who were thinking of and praying for me over the last few weeks. I just went through a battle with COVID-19, and God just wasn’t ready to take me Home yet to be with Him.”
Bowden, a devout Christian, who coached Floria state for 34 years and is 2nd all-time in the number of wins for a major college football coach also encouraged other people to vote for Trump,
“So please, take the time, dadgumit, for the sake of our children and grandchildren, to Keep America Great and vote for Donald Trump.”

Unsurprisingly, Donald Trump was grateful for the support and said so on Twitter.
….to be around to vote for President Trump.” Over 300 wins and 2 National Championships. Thank you to Florida State for giving us Bobby Bowden!

Bowden has spoken on Trump’s behalf before across Florida, so perhaps this shouldn’t be a surprise.
On the other hand, when you hear an incredibly successful man say he was inspired to get well so he could vote for a particular candidate, it says something about how important it is to vote this year.
