It must be good to be Maxine Waters. She’s a millionaire now. She doesn’t have to do anything for her district. In fact, she doesn’t even live in her district. She lives in a mansion just outside of it. Basically, all she has to do is vote like a far left-winger, say some version of, “Republicans are racist and bad” and she gets to keep one of the cushiest jobs on earth forever. The only thing that could threaten it would be the people in her district actually expecting their representatives to do something to make their lives better. If her constituents decided to listen to both sides with an open mind and pick whoever would help them be most successful, Maxine Waters certainly wouldn’t be the person they’d choose. That’s why Trump’s success in reaching out to young, black Americans is a threat not just to Maxine Waters, but to the Democrat party. If this keeps up, next thing you know, Democrats might actually have to do something other than rail against Confederate statues and call Republicans “racists” to lock up the black vote in America.
With that in mind, Maxine Waters is determined to convince black Americans that they can never, ever, EVER consider voting for Republicans like Trump.
“He’s a racist. He does not have any appreciation for Black people, and Black women in particular, he has talked about us so bad. He talked about John Lewis so bad. He has no respect for us. He’s not doing anything for us. And for those young Black men who think somehow they can align themselves with Trump, not only are they terribly mistaken. Any of them showing their face, I will never ever forgive them for undermining the possibility to help their own people and their own communities. It is absolutely unconscionable. It is shameful.”
This is the entire game for Maxine Waters when it comes to Republicans. Every Republican is racist in her book because it benefits her politically to say that and there is zero penalty for being wrong. Can you imagine if someone like Maxine Waters had to pay $100 every time she called someone a racist without proof? She’d have to sell her mansion and file for bankruptcy to pay those bills.
While Democrats like Maxine Waters take the votes of black Americans for granted, Donald Trump is actually trying to reach out to those same voters. Let’s hope he has some luck. That would be good for the whole country including black Americans.
