The Media Matters brain trust has once again proved that they’re somehow incapable of performing their extremely simple job of watching television all day and quoting what was said.
In a tweet that they must know their audience wouldn’t actually bother to click through and read the accompanying article, the Soros-backed outlet claimed that Dan Bongino said on The Five that teachers “legit hate your kids.”
Contradicting that statement is their own headline, which correctly quotes Dan as saying that *teachers unions* hate your kids – which is evidenced by their actions since their inception, but particularly in the pandemic-era. They’re certainly proved that they are as their name suggests – *teachers* unions, not unions that seek the best interest for their students.

Furthermore, the actual Media Matters article, which is just Dan’s quote, accurately quotes him as railing against teachers unions, not teachers. “I love teachers, I mean that.” Dan said. “They changed my life. I am where I am because of great teachers. But teachers unions just hate your kids. I’m sorry if that’s like — no, actually I’m not sorry. They legit hate your kids.”
Regardless, the comments section was still packed with dim liberals who read the tweet caption but somehow missed the headline and content of the article that was a single mouse-click away.
When it was pointed out to them that the quote was about teachers unions and not teachers, some liberals doubled down and argued that the two are actually one and the same, because teachers are part of teachers unions after all.

By that “logic,” every time a leftist rails against a corporation, that also must mean they’re against every single person that corporation employs, which would obviously make no sense.
Of course, I’m being a bit tongue-in-cheek throughout all this in questioning the ability of Media Matters to read (or listen) – we all know they deliberately lie and are enabled by both their inability to feel shame, and an audience that’s incapable of critical thought.
