A group of about 150 Salvadorians set off on a 2,700 mile journey to the U.S. on Sunday.
It is the fourth caravan to head towards the U.S.-Mexico border since the first group from Honduras left on Oct. 13.
The new caravan, as reported by Reuters, was guarded by police as its members made their way to buses set for Guatemala.
The migrants have already created social media and WhatsApp accounts, hoping to capitalize on the attention given to the other caravans.
Meanwhile, in Tijuana, Mexico, authorities opened up a gym and gated sport complex to accommodate thousands of of migrants from earlier caravans after shelters reached their maximum capacities.
About 3,000 migrants have poured into the city–with immigration officials estimating as many as 10,000 could eventually arrive in the border town by the end of the year.
It will likely take months for the migrants’ asylum claims to be processed by the U.S., with officials averaging 100 claims a day.
Fights have broken out between locals and the migrants, with reports of rocks being thrown as well as physical fist fights.
On Sunday, hundreds of Tijuana local protested the arrival of the migrants, chanting “Out! Out! Out!” and claiming the arrival of the group was an “invasion.”
One video shows a local Mexican saying, “Donald Trump was right, this is an invasion! What Donald Trump said was correct: this is an invasion!”
The crowd then chanted, “Get out Hondurans, we do not want you here. Get out Hondurans, we do not want you here.”

President Trump addressed the migrant caravan on Sunday, tweeting that illegal immigrants attempting to cross the border will be detained or turned away.
Catch and Release is an obsolete term. It is now Catch and Detain. Illegal Immigrants trying to come into the U.S.A., often proudly flying the flag of their nation as they ask for U.S. Asylum, will be detained or turned away. Dems must approve Border Security & Wall NOW!
