A new Rasmussen poll found that many Americans fear that President Biden doesn’t have the mental fitness to be president.

When asked “[how] confident are you that Joe Biden is physically and mentally up to the job of being President of the United States?” 50 percent said they were “not confident” while 48 percent said they were “confident” or “very confident.”
The survey, which included the voices of 1,000 likely US voters, also found that 52 percent were concerned that Biden has not hosted a press conference since entering office. 46 percent said they were not concerned.
Rasmussen says that Biden’s lack of press availability has only fueled Americans concerns that Biden is mentally unfit to hold office, following a trend that started on the campaign trail when many accused the then-candidate of attempting to hide from the press.
Biden has long been known for his stutters and gaffes, but the reality that the new president is the olden ever upon election has fueled concern that those gaffes are a sign of a decline the Democrat is attempting to hide.
Meanwhile, Biden has begun to face what may be the first true test of his new administration, with his sweeping reforms of former President Trump’s immigration policies causing a surge of illegal border crossings that many have called a crisis.
But the administration has so far denied there is a crisis at the border, insisting that the situation is being managed as agencies responsible for border security transition to the new rules.
