While simultaneously launching a frivolous case with the goal of dissolving the NRA, New York Attorney General Letitia James has also launched an attack against the Trump Organization.
In a legal filing on Monday, James asked a judge to force the Trump Organization to provide financial information to aid her probe of their financial dealings. The alleged purpose of the probe is to determine if President Trump ever inflated the value of his net worth to obtain loans – as if those making loans to him weren’t capable of doing any analysis of their own. Most of President Trump’s assets are well-known buildings, and anyone lending to him (mostly big banks) are more than capable of passing their own judgement on what they’re worth. In fact, they tend to be awfully good at it.
James also wants Eric Trump to testify under oath, and like anyone laying a Kafkatrap, has cited his refusal to do so as proof of wrongdoing.
James is likely just fishing for any financial information she can misconstrue against Trump, regardless of how innocuous it may be in reality. After all, her base are the same people who fell for Russiagate, Ukrainegate, and think that the U.S. Postal Service is interfering in the election.
Ironically, James is now attempting to interfere in our election more than Russia could ever hope to.
Unlike most of the swamp, James has at least been kind enough to be extremely transparent that she’s weaponizing her position for political purposes. In fact, she even campaigned on it.
Watch below:
This is hardly the first piece of evidence against her.
In video we reported on yesterday, AG James is asked by the individual recording “What would you say to people who say ‘oh I’m not going to bother to register to vote because I’m just one person or because my voice doesn’t make a difference?’” AG James is asked by the individual recording.
“I just say one name: Donald Trump” AG James replies. “That should motivate you.”
“Will you sue him for us?” the woman recording asks.
“Oh we’ll sue him. We’ll be a real pain in his ass. He’s going to know my name personally” AG James replies, laughing.
