Nunes says Subpoenas “Ready to Go” for “Dirty Cops” in FBI, DOJ if GOP Wins Back the House
Ranking House Intelligence Committee member Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) says that Republicans have subpoenas ready for “dirty cops” in the DOJ and FBI should they win back control of the House of Representatives in 2020.
In a Friday interview with Fox News at CPAC, Nunes said that Republicans will continue to investigate corrupt actors within the DOJ and FBI sand said, “You can be sure of this, if we take the House in November, we have subpoenas ready to go that will continue going after these dirty cops.”
Nunes said Americans found it difficult to “trust the FBI and DOJ” following its hoax Trump-Russia probe and Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s sham investigation.
The congressman also slammed Democrats and Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, (D-CA) for failing to make reforms to the FISA process.
“What they’re trying to do is a cover-up — they’re trying to cover up the fact that their party was involved in the biggest political scandal in modern U.S. history, where they fed disinformation, likely Russian disinformation from a campaign into the FBI and opened an investigation on the other campaign,” Nunes said. “They’re doing everything they can to not make reforms and that’s not going to be sufficient,” he said.
During an appearance with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Nunes underscored the importance of the 2020 election and how critical it is for Republicans to take back control of the House.
“…This is going to be very hard fought,” he said. “Even if Bernie Sanders is the nominee, they’ve got the media on their side, Sean. It’s not going to be easy. They’ve got Bloomberg and all his money,” he said.
Nunes also discussed warned about the deep state, telling Hannity, “One thing that I tell the American people every time that I speak and I go out on the road and I talk to people is that, remember, the deep state here is much worse than even I thought it ever was.”
