The people managing an official social media account of the Democrat Party are either incredibly gullible or fine with lying. Both are equally plausible options.
The Twitter account in question, hilariously named “Fact Post News,” posted a video of artificial intelligence-generated audio mimicking Donald Trump Jr’s voice which claimed to reveal several pro-Russia statements he made. “I can’t imagine anyone in their right mind picking Ukraine as an ally when Russia is the other option. I mean, just think about it. Massive nuclear power, loaded with natural resources everyone needs, literally the biggest country on the planet,” the actual Trump Jr never said.
The not-Trump Jr. continued; “And, haha, there’s Ukraine, which has Chernobyl and some radiation-proof dogs. Meanwhile, the Biden administration is like ‘Oh yeah, this is definitely the ally we need. Let’s dumb all our money into them. Honestly, if anything, the U.S. should’ve been sending weapons to Russia.”
After being called out by countless people for spreading fake news, the “Fact Post” deleted the video - then never issued a retraction or explained why it was removed.
“Fake Post News” would be more appropriate.
