Joe Biden didn’t campaign on an “America Last” slogan, but he sure is acting like that’s his agenda.

He made a catastrophic blunder in removing U.S. troops from Afghanistan before anyone else, working under the delusion that it was unlikely that the Taliban would retake the country. Less than a month went by between Biden publicly calling a Taliban takeover unlikely, and the Taliban takeover occurring.

As a result, a number of Americans are stranded in Afghanistan that’s believed to be in the tens of thousands – though even the Pentagon somehow doesn’t know the exact number, which makes it impossible to know when everyone is rescued. According to the most recent data from the Pentagon, they’ve airlifted 82,300 out of Kabul in the past two weeks, but only 4,400, or 5% of them have been Americans.

According to The Federalist’s Jordan Davidson:

The State Department also confirmed that a majority of the people whisked away on flights from Kabul are not U.S. citizens. On Tuesday, Politico national security reporter Alex Ward reported leaked numbers indicating that in just 15 hours on Aug. 23, the United States evacuated approximately 6,916 people from Afghanistan. Only 483 of those were American citizens while the rest were Aghan nationals.

Meanwhile, when it comes to the evacuation of Americans, Biden says that getting everyone out by the August 31 deadline ultimately depends on the Taliban’s cooperation.

Or in other words, it’s all in the terrorists’ hands now.
