In an extreme rarity for a politician, Nancy Pelosi offered âhonestly by omissionâ when asked if she believed that Kamala Harris is the best running mate for Joe Biden, refusing to directly answer the question.
âHe [Biden] thinks so, and thatâs what mattersâ Pelosi said when asked if Harris was Bidenâs best running mate. "Why would she be vice president if she were not?" Pelosi asked after rattling off some niceties about how politically astute Harris is without directly answering the question.
When pressed to actually answer the question, Pelosi deflected to point out that the VP doesnât actually do that much anyway, but is an âintellectual resource.â
Watch below:
Harris is the least popular VP in recorded history by far, with one recent poll from June finding her approval at a net -17. That compared to Mike Penceâs net approval of -4 at this point his vice presidency, +1 for Biden, +23 for Dick Cheney, and +15 for Al Gore. Cheney was more popular after shooting someone than Harris is currently.
