Pelosi Spotted Maskless in Crowd of Colleagues Days After Fining Maskless Republicans

House speaker Nancy Pelosi is keeping a mask mandate in place on the House floor until every member is vaccinated – which could be never. Even vaccinated members are still required to mask up in the meantime (in contradiction to CDC guidance). Nearly a dozen House Republicans have rebelled against it, and three of them were hit with a $500 fine for what was their second offense.

Pelosi blasted those who refused to comply as turning the House chamber into a “petri dish,” saying “they are selfishly an endangerment to other people, including staff people here.” Every single Democrat member of Congress has been vaccinated, so it’s unclear what risk she thinks is posed to her colleagues.

Days after fining her maskless Republicans, the hair salon enthusiast was spotted on video maskless in a crowded room chatting with and hugging colleagues.

According to the Daily Caller:

Pelosi was seen on video standing in a crowded White House room maskless and chatting with others. Videos show Pelosi walking through the East Room of the White House Thursday, hugging and talking to other maskless lawmakers.

Some accused Pelosi of hypocrisy for not wearing a mask in the crowded room one day after three Republicans were fined $500 each for refusing to comply with a mask mandate Pelosi imposed. Pelosi’s policy — which applies to vaccinated and non vaccinated people — was still enforced although Washington, D.C. was no longer mandating vaccinated people wear masks.
