Portland DA Declares That Many Rioters Will Not Be Prosecuted, Causing State Police to Withdraw
Riot control in Portland will no longer be assisted by the Oregon State Police, who decided to leave the city after Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt announced that many of the rioters will not be prosecuted.
TheBlaze reported that approximately 100 state troopers had been helping the city’s police force with riot control and property protection for the almost three-month-long nightly turmoil.
Schmidt announced Tuesday that crimes “such as disorderly conduct, interference with a police officer, and resisting arrest might not be prosecuted in many cases,” theBlaze stated. Afterward, Oregon State Police Captain Timothy Fox said that the department would not be staying in the city, since the assignment there was only supposed to be for two weeks. According to the Oregonian, Fox added that “[W]e’re in a country that’s not going to prosecute this criminal behavior.”
It’s obvious where the loyalty of the Left lies, and it is clearly not with the average citizen. This move executed by the DA is just the latest example of this agenda.
