Pro-life activist Mark Houck scored a victory in a trial that should’ve never happened after he was politically targeted by the Biden administration’s DOJ following an encounter with a Planned Parenthood escort who confronted and threatened him and his son.
After attempting to defuse the situation multiple times, Houck shoved the escort - leading to the FBI raiding his home and arresting him in front of his seven kids, charging him with violating the FACE Act, and leaving him facing 11-years in prison.
Fortunately, sanity prevailed, and a jury found him not guilty.
Speaking out after the trial, he told reporters outside the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania “I’m just so grateful for the men that God has surrounded me with,” and expressed gratitude that justice was “finally served.” “I’m George Bailey today,” Houck said, referencing the Christmas classic It’s a Wonderful Life.
The Biden DOJ charged four pro-life activists in 2021, and ramped up prosecutions to 26 in 2022 in the wake of the repeal of Roe v. Wade. Hundreds of pro-life organizations and churches were also vandalized since the Dobbs leak, and not a single person was charged in connection to any of them in 2022 (it wasn’t until earlier that month that two were charged for spray-painted threats at three Florida pro-life pregnancy centers).
