Rand Paul Introduces Amendment to Fire Fauci

Rand Paul has brought forth an amendment to fire Dr. Anthony Fauci.

While finding Fauci on TV is now akin to playing a game of Where’s Waldo, he is indeed still in his position as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which also gives him the title of the U.S. federal government’s highest paid employee.

In a press release, Senator Paul said “We’ve learned a lot over the past two years, but one lesson in particular is that no one person should be deemed ‘dictator-in-chief.’ No one person should have unilateral authority to make decisions for millions of Americans. To ensure that ineffective, unscientific lockdowns and mandates are never foisted on the American people ever again, I’ve introduced this amendment to eliminate Dr. Anthony Fauci’s position as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and divide his power into three separate new institutes. This will create accountability and oversight into a taxpayer funded position that has largely abused its power, and has been responsible for many failures and misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The three separate national research institutes would each have their own director.

Paul commented his amendment would “create accountability and oversight into a taxpayer funded position that has largely abused its power, and has been responsible for many failures and misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic,” adding of Dr. Fauci “In all my years studying and practicing medicine, I had never encountered someone with the gall to proclaim himself ‘the science’ and portray anyone opposing him as ‘attacking science.’ That is, until Dr. Fauci became the COVID dictator-in-chief.”
