Bernie Sanders just got endorsed by America’s biggest critic, Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MI). At a rally with candidate Sanders Sunday night in Minneapolis, Omar was greeted warmly with cheers of “Lock him up!” and “Green New Deal.” Omar had some pretty vile comments albeit not surprising given her anti-American character.

While telling the crowd she is “excited for President Bernie Sanders” she accused President Trump of “coddling” white supremacy and calling Neo-Nazis “very fine people.” Surrounded by white millennials, Omar wetted their appetite agreeing with Sanders’ proposals of free health care for everyone including illegal immigrants. “We can’t achieve any of these goals if we don’t build a movement that is representative of all of our aspirations, all of our pain, and all of our shared trauma.” Democrats love being victims who can only be saved by the government doing all the work so they don’t have to lift a finger.

Then things got really interesting. “I am proud to stand with the son of a Jewish refugee who survived genocide” referring to Sanders. Perhaps Omar’s support for Sanders it an attempt to re-brand her image from an anti-semitic terrorist sympathizer, saying her people suffer because “some people did something.” Being a muslim who supports a Jew is irrelevant when at the same rally she also said a “mass movement of the working class” is necessary to remove Trump from office and end “Western imperialism.”

In addition to condemning evil western imperialism, Sanders played to the audience of college students with the promise that he and Omar are working to eliminate “all student debt in America” and provide “tuition-free” public college education. “People say that Ilhan and I make an odd political couple. But in fact, there is really nothing odd about it at all…Ilhan and I share a common link as the descendants of families who fled violence and poverty, and who came to this country as immigrants. But that is not just my story, or Ilhan’s story- that is the story of America.”

You are absolutely right, Bernie, there really is nothing odd about the two of you. You both want to undo the very fundamentals of the country that allowed your immigrant families to turn their lives around and provide you and Omar with the ability to become senators, congresswomen, and even a candidate for the President of the United States. That’s called the American dream and you are trying to burn it to the ground. Some grateful children you both are.
