House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has been playing by his own rules. As someone who has been chomping at the bit to impeach Trump for years, Schiff has taken unethical liberties and Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) says it’s time for Schiff to be checked.
Gaetz filed an ethics complaint against House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff citing “rules broken” and “false statements” as Schiff has been front and center leading the impeachment inquiry along with ring leader Pelosi.
Rep. Gaetz tweeted the full complaint he filed, with the caption:

-Blocking Members of Congress from attending impeachment depositions
-Schiff must be held accountable”

Gaetz is referencing Rep. Schiff’s opening statement on the whistleblower complaint in September. Schiff “read” the transcript of Trump’s call with Zelensky before Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire testified before the House Intelligence Committee on September 26th. Schiff did not read the exact words from the transcript during the testimony which infuriated Republicans and the President. Later, Schiff defended himself saying it was “meant to be at least part in parody.”
In the testimony, Schiff said the call transcript “reads like a classic organized crime shakedown” and then continued to read a manipulated transcript as if it was in deed a call with the mob. Although Schiff admits in the testimony, “this is, in sum and character, what the president was trying to communicate with the president of Ukraine” and did not say it was verbatim, it shows Schiff’s character. Even Pelosi said, “this is a very serious issue” and for a Chairman to turn it into a theatrical parody is pathetic.
