A San Francisco restaurant owner, apparently famous for hosting politicians, claimed “Senator Bernie Sanders lost his vote in the 2020 presidential election after the Vermont Democratic candidate was ‘rude and cranky’ to his servers” according to Politico.
The historic restaurant, John’s Grill, is 111-years old and many Democrats dined there when they were in town over the weekend for a three-day event with the Democratic National Committee. Restaurant owner John Konstin told SFGATE the senator would not shake hands or take photos with patrons and he was rude to staff. “It was all very nice, except for cranky Bernie…He was just rude, not friendly. I think he was just hungry and didn’t want to be a politician. He lost my vote.”
