Resurfaced Video Shows Biden Saying “There’s Nothing Special About Being an American”
Resurfaced comments from Joe Biden are turning some heads because they’re not exactly encouraging to hear from the alleged leader of the free world.
During a 2014 speech at Harvard University, then-VP Biden declared that there isn’t anything special about being an America, and that no one can define “what an American is.” From the comments we glean that Biden seems to have as much confidence in American greatness as we have in his mental faculties.
The direct quote is as follows: “America’s strength ultimately lies in its people. There’s nothing special about being American – none of you can define for me what an American is. Can’t define it based on religion, ethnicity, race, culture. The uniqueness of America is that we are a group of people who agreed on – whether we say it, whether we’re well-educated or not, whether we say it in terms of basic agreements but we really do believe without saying it, ‘We the People.’ ‘All men are created equal, endowed by their Creator.’ Sounds corny. But that’s who we are. That’s the essential strength and vibrancy of this country.”
So in his words, America is strong because of it’s people… but there’s nothing special about being American. Does that make any sense to you?
If there’s anything to be gleaned from Biden’s first seven months in office, it’s that there isn’t anything special about him.
