Schemer of the House: Pelosi Appears to “Pre-Rip” Pages of President’s Speech
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appears to have “pre-ripped” pages of President Trump’s State of the Union address in preparation for the dramatic moment where she destroyed the copy of the President’s speech.
The New York Post writes:
As Trump introduced cancer-stricken radio host Rush Limbaugh — who received the Medal of Freedom during the speech — Pelosi could be seen grabbing the pages off the table.
Video shows her making what seemed to be a tearing motion and then placing the pages back on the table.
Photos of the sheets of paper show them face down on the table with small slits on the side, near where Pelosi would eventually rip them into pieces.

Yesterday, Vice President Mike Pence said he thought Pelosi may have pre-planned the disgraceful move.
When asked by Fox and Friends if he thought the move had been staged by the Speaker of the House, he replied “It felt like it.”
The Daily Mail reports that Pelosi spokesperson Drew Hammill claims the move wasn’t pre-planned.
‘The Vice President’s complicity in last night’s reality show is disgusting. He is in no position to lecture anyone about the Constitution, decorum or respect as he cheerleads the mistruths of his master,” said Hammill.
Pence told Fox, “I did not see her do it,” he said. “I found out a few moments later and I think it was a new low. I was not sure if she was ripping up the speech or ripping up the Constitution.”
He continued, “It is clear the contrast here was the president who spent an hour and a half making a speech about America — and Nancy Pelosi, in the final moments, tried to make it about her and I think the American people see through it and see through the pettiness, they see through the politics of all of it and I think what they got last night was a speech that lifted up the country that celebrated the incredible progress that we’ve made in our economy, rebuilding our military, strengthening our courts.”
When asked why she ripped up the speech on Tuesday night, Pelosi said, “because it was the courteous thing to do, considering the alternative.”
According to Politico, Pelosi told colleagues yesterday, “He shredded the truth, so I shredded his speech. What we heard last night was a disgrace.”
