Earlier during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on creating an earned pathway to citizenship for migrant farmworkers, Sen. Ted Cruz went nuclear on Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, calling his answers “nonsense.”
He also made a dig at Republicans weak on the immigration issue: “Let me be clear, I’m not Lindsey Graham… I understand that there have been Democrats and Republicans who support amnesty. I ain’t one of them.” (For what it’s worth, Graham has at least said he’d oppose the Biden infrastructure bill if it included amnesty).
