Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) threatened to subpoena former Special Counsel Robert Mueller if he does not “voluntarily” testify before Congress about his Russia probe.
Speaking to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos yesterday, Schiff said Mueller had “one last service to perform” for the American people and that he needed to testify before lawmakers.
“I was disappointed … to see such a profound reluctance to testify. I think he has one last service to perform. It’s not enough merely to speak for 10 minutes and say, ‘I’m not going to answer questions for the Congress and the American people.’ There are a great many things that are not in the report,” he said.
Schiff told ABC he was concerned that the president was “vulnerable” to influence from Russia wanted Mueller to answer whether or not Trump still planned to build a Trump Tower in Russia.
Schiff added that Mueller “has a final duty here to perform, like any other witness.”

There are any number of questions that we have every right, and the American people have every need, to have answered about his investigation and what he found. pic.twitter.com/HyonnrQLwW
