Slain Iranian Terrorist Encouraged Trump to Attack Him in 2018 Instagram Post

In the realm of all social media posts that have aged badly – this one aged as poorly as General Qassem Soleimani – literally.

As most of you are aware by now, General Soleimani was the leader of Iran’s Quds Force, a shadowy unit in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. Soleimani and his group have been responsible for the deaths of at least 600 Americans, and Soleimani was been designated a terrorist by the U.S.

Soleimani was killed in a targeted airstrike in Iraq last night in retaliation for Iranian militias storming the U.S. embassy in Baghdad. Ironically, in 2018 Soleimani himself promised retaliation against Donald Trump after Trump promised that “sanctions are coming” in a Game of Thrones themed tweet.

“Come! We are waiting,” Soleimani wrote on his Instagram in response. “I can stop you. Quds Force can stop you,” added Soleimani. “You start this war, but we will finish it.”

And of course, his photo was also Game of Thrones themed.

We can confirm that General Soleimani is no longer standing.
