Soldiers At Capitol Sick After Being Given Undercooked Food & Meals With Metal Shavings

The National Guard has rather famously been camped out at the Capitol since January with no real explanation from the government for why they’re there. We’ve seen them sleeping on the ground, relegated to parking garages for their breaks, and apparently, they aren’t even being fed properly. Per a report by an ABC affiliate, a Michigan National Guard sergeant whose identity is being withheld says over a dozen soldiers were sick after eating undercooked food and a large number of our troops found metal shavings in their meals.

“Yesterday, for instance, there were 74 different meals found with raw beef in them,” the sergeant said, 7 Action News reported. The sergeant also said “soldiers had found metal shavings in their food.”

…While the quality of provided meals has been a problem, the sergeant reportedly said that service members frequently don’t get enough to eat, according to 7 Action News. “You were getting maybe a Danish and some sort of juice,” the sergeant said, 7 Action News reported. “And then we had certain days where it was clearly a dinner role and Sunny D.”

…Over a dozen service members were in the hospital after consuming undercooked food and falling ill, 7 Action News reported. After several complaints about the quality of the food provided, Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer reached out to the acting secretary of the army.

“Now after the raw meat yesterday for dinner they have told us not to eat the meals for the next two days and are giving us MRE’s instead. Soldiers are now paying for all their meals for the next two days in order to get real food,” the sergeant said Monday, 7 Action News reported.

This sham has gone on for way too long. We’re taking these soldiers away from their families, having them sleep on the floor, and asking them to eat food that makes them sick, for what? Primarily so Democrats can sell the idea that the country is in danger of being taken over at any time by unarmed,  shirtless morons wearing Buffalo horns. Meanwhile, the one time that extra security was actually needed at the Capitol because there was a massive rally with an angry crowd that would be happening nearby, Nancy Pelosi didn’t want it.

Given how the National Guard has been treated, every governor in the nation should follow the lead of Texas and bring their troops back home. This whole thing has been a photo op for the Democrats and it has gone on for far too long.
