Watch: Border Patrol Agent Calls for Hiring Babysitters to Watch Migrant Children

National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd is calling for the hiring of “babysitters” to take care of migrant children after revealing that border agents have been forced to look after illegal immigrant minors while in custody.

Judd spoke with The Daily Caller and said, “I was just in the RGV [Rio Grande Valley]. I did a 30-day deployment to RGV and one of the assignments that we had was babysitting. Border patrol agents were babysitting children, and so do we need to hire people so that we can free up our law enforcement agents and officers to do their jobs. Absolutely, we need to do this.”

Judd explained that Border Patrol needed to hire support personnel to help with processing, detention and babysitting so that agents would be free to do their jobs.

“What we have to do is we have to hire support personnel that is going to come in and do the processing jobs, the detention jobs that border patrol agents are doing right now that pulls our resources out of the field that allows the cartels to generate all of the revenue and profits,” he said.

“We have to have our border patrol agents in the field and so to do that we have to hire the support personnel to take away these babysitting jobs or these processing jobs that our law enforcement agents are doing today.”

Judge Who Blocked Trump Wall Donated Over 20k to Obama

U.S. District Court judge Haywood Gilliam, who–on Friday–partially blocked the construction of President Trump’s border wall once donated over $20,000 to former President Obama.

The Daily Caller reports:

Federal election records show the Obama-appointed judge gave $6,900 to Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, made up of two $2,300 contributions to Obama for America and one $2,300 contribution to the Obama Victory Fund. Four years later, Gilliam donated $5,000 to Obama for America and $8,500 to the Obama Victory fund, for a total of $13,500. He also added a $4,500 donation to the Democratic National Committee in addition to $3,100 to the Covington and Burling LLP PAC from 2012 to 2014.

Gilliam issued a preliminary injunction on Friday, banning the Pentagon from transferring $1 billion from its counter-drug funding budget to border security. According to Politico, Gilliam’s injunction also “appears to jeopardize another $1.5 billion of the $8.1 billion the administration planned to use for border construction.”

President Trump slammed Gilliam’s decision on Saturday, calling it a “ruling against border security.”

“Another activist Obama appointed judge has just ruled against us on a section of the Southern Wall that is already under construction. This is a ruling against Border Security and in favor of crime, drugs and human trafficking. We are asking for an expedited appeal!,” he tweeted.

FBI Was Still Assessing “Reliability” of Christopher Steele AFTER Using Dossier for FISA Warrant

The FBI was still trying to get “further clarity” about anti-Trump dossier author Christopher Steele and his “reliability” a month after the bureau used the salacious document to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page, according to the Daily Caller.

According to transcripts of FBI lawyer Sally Moyer’s congressional testimony obtained by the news outlet, she and investigators met with DOJ official Bruce Ohr on November 21, 2016 “to get further clarity about Christopher Steele and his reliability.”

Just one month before that meeting, on Oct. 21, 2016, the FBI obtained its first FISA warrant against Page.

Moyer testified that the FBI usually vouches for sources used in obtaining FISA applications and that the FBI was still trying “to figure out if there were other issues or trying to verify the information [Steele] had provided.”

“So they wanted to talk to Bruce Ohr because they knew that he had had a relationship with him, so they were trying to get a better sense of his background, his reputation, the sorts of questions that you would ask others to try to verify your source reliability,” she said.

Chuck Ross of the Daily Caller writes: The FBI had severed ties with Steele around a week before the Nov. 8, 2016 election because of his unauthorized contacts with the media. Steele was quoted anonymously in a story published by Mother Jones on Oct. 31, 2016 that laid out claims that the Kremlin had blackmail material on Trump.

Moyer’s testimony provides new insight into why the FBI asked Ohr to reconnect with Steele. Other FBI and Justice Department officials have said that the FBI wanted to reconnect with Steele after Trump’s election win as part of the bureau’s investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government.

Pelosi Supports Lowering Voting Age to 16

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said she supports lowering the national voting age to 16.

The Daily Caller’s Kerry Picket reports that Pelosi said, “I myself, personally, not speaking for my caucus, I myself have always been for lowering the voting age to 16. I think it’s really important to capture kids when they’re in high school when they’re interested in all of this and learning about government to be able to vote….That’s a subject of debate and I would welcome it, but I’ve held this position for a long time.”

Media Blackout: CNN, MSNBC Ignore FEC Complaint Against Ocasio-Cortez

As of late this morning, neither MSNBC nor CNN have covered the explosive allegations of campaign finance violations against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and her chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, according to the Daily Caller.

It was revealed earlier this week that an FEC complaint had been filed accusing Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti of violating campaign finance laws and illegally funneling nearly $885,000 in contributions from political action committees.

According to the Daily Caller, while both CNN and MSNBC mentioned the socialist lawmaker multiple times throughout their programming, neither network discussed the allegations against her.

The Daily Caller writes:

A review of MSNBC’s and CNN’s on-air coverage via Grabien, a television video-clipping service, turned up nothing on these allegations levied against the freshmen representative.

Ocasio-Cortez was mentioned during seven different shows Tuesday on MSNBC. Her defense of Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, who is facing allegations of anti-Semitism, was referenced in four of those instances.

Her name was mentioned during five different programs on CNN, with two pertaining to Omar, and three on her questioning of Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s former attorney, in front of the House Oversight Committee last week.

Ocasio-Cortez has denied the allegations.

“There is no violation,” the Congresswoman told Fox News yesterday after landing at Ronald Reagan National Airport. She responded, “No, no” when asked if the complaint proves her campaign was connected to “dark money.”

Open Borders Advocate George Soros has a HUGE Wall Around his Home

In a hilarious series titled “Walls Across America” the Daily Caller’s Benny Johnson is traveling across the nation highlighting “the best walls” in the country.

In the latest episode, Johnson travels to Southampton, NY where open borders advocate and leftist billionaire George Soros has a sprawling mansion.

Standing in front of Soros’ massive wall, Johnson says, “You are not going to believe what is behind me. That massive white barrier that stretches as far as the shot probably shows you…is not, I repeat is not a model of the wall that Trump wants on the border, it is not, I repeat, a set from Game of Thrones, it is not…a recreation of the Great Wall of China to keep the Mongolians out. It is indeed George Soros’ own personal great wall. George Soros has a wall that would make Donald Trump dream at night.”

George Soros has a wall that would make Donald Trump dream at night.

Standing in front of a doorway in the wall, Johnson notes, “It seems like, to get into the place that George Soros loves, where George Soros lives, you’re going to have to use a legal port of entry.”

The Daily Caller points out that President Trump often calls out prominent politicians and celebrities for hiding behind walls around their homes while advocating for open borders and slamming the president for even considering constructing a barrier along the southern border.

**LISTEN: Dan addresses the border wall debate and where the Democrats are misleading you**

In last week’s address from the Oval Office, the President said, “Some have suggested a barrier is immoral. Then why do wealthy politicians build walls, fences and gates around their homes?”

“They don’t build walls because they hate the people on the outside. But because they love the people on the inside,” he said. “The only thing that is immoral is the politicians who do nothing and continue to allow more innocent people to be so horribly victimized.”

The Top Fake News Stories of 2018

In his Christmas Day podcast, Dan goes over the Daily Caller’s list of the “Most Egregious Fake News Stories of 2018.”

**LISTEN: Dan discusses the top fake news stories of 2018**

All of the usual suspects are among the top winners, including the Washington Post, CNN, and the New York Times.

We’ve listed the top ten of over 30 fake news stories that made it into the Daily Caller’s list:

  1. Washington Post blamed the death of a 7-year-old migrant girl on Border Patrol
    • The paper disgracefully blamed U.S. Border Patrol for the death of the little girl, despite the fact that her own father praised the agency for doing everything they could to help her. The full timeline of events also paint a different picture than what the Post portrays.
  2. CNN and the Hill both reported on a sexual assault claim against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh without mentioning that the claim had been quickly retracted.
    • The Hill eventually deleted a tweet about the claim and CNN updated its story.
  3. The Boston Globe had to correct it’s story about Elizabeth Warren and admit she’s even LESS Native American than they had thought.
    • The paper initially stated that the Massachusetts senator was between 1/32 and 1/512th Native American, but had to issue a correction stating she was actually between 1/64th and 1/1,024th Native American.
  4. The New York Times shamefully reported that former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley purchased expensive curtains for her New York apartment.
    • In reality, the $52,000 curtains were approved in 2016 and the ambassador had no say in the matter.
  5. The media still blames Republicans for the Steele dossier.
    • The Daily Caller points out that so-called reporters such as CNN’s Jim Sciutto, MSNBC’s Katy Tur, and MSNBC’s Ari Melber all perpetuated the falsehood that the GOP was responsible for the salacious, unverified, anti-Trump dossier. In reality, the research conducted by ex-British spy Christopher Steele and eventually compiled into the dossier was solely paid for by the DNC and Clinton campaign.
  6. A CNN analyst published a “dubious” report about more unsubstantiated Brett Kavanaugh claims.
    • The DC points out, “CNN political analyst and Sentinel editor Brian Karem published a report in September claiming that ‘Montgomery County investigators’ were looking into an additional allegation of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.Local police disputed that they were investigating any claims, and Karem later updated his reporting to indicate that his sources were not police, but rather random ‘investigators in Montgomery County.'”
  7. Just one day after Sen. Ted Cruz did a 15 minute interview with CNN, the network claimed he was “scared” to appear on their channel in the wake of the Parkland, Florida school shooting.
    • Cruz slammed the network on Twitter, writing “CNN has aired NONE of it. Why not air the (entire) interview?”
  8. CNN spreads false school shooting statistic.
    • CNN’s Jim Sciutto claimed there had been 22 school shootings in 2018. However, school shootings–according to CNN–include accidental firearm discharges, domestic disputes, and some events that involve no children at all.

9. NBC withheld evidence supporting then-Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh for weeks.

  • The Daily Caller writes, “While NBC’s story is not incorrect, its choice to sit on evidence that contradicted a serious sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh earned them a spot on this list. Celebrity porn lawyer Michael Avenatti claimed he knew a second woman who could back up gang rape allegations made against Kavanaugh by his client, Julie Swetnick. That second woman actually contradicted the allegations in a phone interview with NBC News on September 30. Mysteriously, NBC chose not to publish this information until weeks later and after Kavanaugh had already been confirmed to the Supreme Court.

10. McClatchy reported that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had evidence that former Trump attorney Michael Cohen had traveled to Prague in 2016–a claim that would seemingly corroborate a portion of the Steele dossier.

  • The news agency’s claims were not confirmed by any other news outlets, and Cohen himself handed over his passport to Buzzfeed in an attempt to clear his name. The passport showed that the embattled former Trump lawyer had zero stamps for the Czech Republic. A Mueller spokesman also suggested to the Daily Caller that the reports about Cohen could be false.
