Meadows: Declassification of Key Russia Docs “Right Around the Corner”

Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) said the declassification of key documents tied to the Russia probe is “right around the corner,” in an interview with Fox News this morning.

Speaking about President Trump’s plans to declassify Russia probe documents, Meadows said, “I think the delay is over. I think the president is serious. I’ve spoken to him recently and I think declassification is right around the corner and hopefully the American people will be able to judge for themselves.”

Meadows said when Trump declassifies the records, “the American people will be astonished to see… the president was right…”

Meadows also agreed with former Congressman Trey Gowdy who said yesterday that the FBI has potentially game-changing transcripts relating to the Trump-Russia investigation.

“(Gowdy) has seen documents that actually I have not seen,” Meadows said.

“But we have come to the same conclusion and that is, indeed, (former Trump campaign associate) George Papadopoulos was actually taped and recorded” and that there are transcripts of the interviews that could shed light on the Russia probe and its origins, writes Fox News.

Speaking to Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on Sunday, Gowdy said, “If the bureau’s going to send in an informant in, the informant’s going to be wired, and if the bureau is monitoring telephone calls, there’s going to be a transcript of that.”

He continued, “Some of us have been fortunate enough to know whether or not those transcripts exist. But they haven’t been made public, and I think one in particular is going — it has the potential to actually persuade people. Very little in this Russia probe I’m afraid is going to persuade people who hate Trump or love Trump. But there is some information in these transcripts that has the potential to be a game-changer if it’s ever made public.”

CBS Reporter Unloads on “Absurdly Left-Leaning” Media, “Disaster” for Country

CBS News foreign correspondent Lara Logan unloaded on the liberal media in a telling interview where she slammed Democrat biases in news outlets as a “disaster” for the country.

Speaking to retired Navy SEAL Mike Ritland on his podcast, Mike Drop, Logan said those in the media have become “political activists” and “propagandists” and even quipped that by participating in the interview, she was committing “professional suicide.”

“Although the media has historically always been left-leaning, we’ve abandoned our pretense — or at least the effort — to be objective, today,” she said. “…We’ve become political activists, and some could argue propagandists, and there’s some merit to that.”

Logan also lamented the lack of representation from outlets “on the right.”

“Visually, anyone who’s ever been to Israel and been to the Wailing Wall has seen that the women have this tiny little spot in front of the wall to pray, and the rest of the wall is for the men. To me, that’s a great representation of the American media, is that in this tiny little corner where the women pray you’ve got Breitbart and Fox News and a few others, and from there on, you have CBS, ABC, NBC, Huffington Post, Politico, whatever, right?” she said. “All of them. And that’s a problem for me, because even if it was reversed, if it was vastly mostly on the right, that would also be a problem for me.”

“My experience has been that the more opinions you have, the more ways that you look at everything in life — everything in life is complicated, everything is gray, right? Nothing is black and white,” she continued.

NATO States Pay Up After Trump’s Tough Talk, Increase Spending by $100 Billion

NATO states will increase their defense spending by $100 billion after President Trump called out the countries for not paying their fair share.

Over the weekend, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, appeared on “Fox News Sunday,”  and said, “President Trump has been very clear. He is committed to NATO. He stated that clearly just a few days ago and also at the NATO summit in July. But at the same time, he has clearly stated that NATO allies need to invest more. And therefore at the summit in July last year, we agreed to do more to step up — and now we see the results.”

Stoltenberg said that “by the end of next year, NATO allies will add hundred – 100 billion extra U.S. dollars toward defense. So we see some real money and some real results. And we see that the clear message from President Donald Trump is having an impact.”

The Secretary General said that while Trump put a lot of pressure on NATO, it was necessary due to Russian aggression.

“What he’s doing is to help us adapt the alliance, which we need because we live in a more unpredictable world with a more assertive Russia using violence and force against a neighbor, Ukraine,” Stoltenberg said. “And therefore NATO has to adapt.”

President Trump has repeatedly called on NATO countries to pay more in defense spending:

During the NATO summit in Brussels in July 2018, Trump called out European nations for being “delinquent.”

“Many countries are not paying what they should,” he said. “And, frankly, many countries owe us a tremendous amount of money for many years back, where they’re delinquent, as far as I’m concerned, because the United States has had to pay for them. So if you go back 10 or 20 years, you’ll just add it all up. It’s massive amounts of money is owed.”

After Stoltenberg’s appearance on Fox News, Trump took to Twitter and wrote, “Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, just stated that because of me NATO has been able to raise far more money than ever before from its members after many years of decline. It’s called burden sharing. Also, more united. Dems & Fake News like to portray the opposite!”

Watch: Bret Baier’s Emotional Message After Family Car Crash in Montana

Fox News host Bret Baier delivered a powerful message last night after returning from a Montana family vacation where he, his wife, and children were in a dangerous car crash.

Describing the incident, Baier says,  “I hit a big patch of ice and I could not stop our SUV. We slid into the intersection of a busy road and into the path of a big pickup truck which slammed into our driver’s side door. The airbags deployed, the windows shattered. We careened into a ditch and flipped sideways.”

Fortunately, the Baier family escaped with “minor injuries,” after a good Samaritain helped them get out of the flipped vehicle.  The Fox News host says the experience was a reminder to count your blessings.

Trump to Address Nation on Border Security Tonight

President Trump will address the nation tonight in a prime-time speech on the U.S. border and national security.

“I am pleased to inform you that I will Address the Nation on the Humanitarian and National Security crisis on our Southern Border. Tuesday night at 9:00 P.M. Eastern,” the president wrote on Twitter yesterday.

Initially, there was some speculation as to whether or not networks would air the speech, however, it was announced last night that ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS and Fox broadcast network will all air the address to the nation, as well as Fox News, CNN and MSNBC.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) demanded they receive equal time to respond to the president’s speech.

“Now that the television networks have decided to air the President’s address, which if his past statements are any indication will be full of malice and misinformation, Democrats must immediately be given equal airtime,” they stated in a joint press release.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders also announced yesterday that the President will visit the southern border on Thursday.

Hillary Clinton Issues Scathing Attack on Fox News

Hillary Clinton blasted Fox News in an interview with the Guardian published Friday, calling the network “superb propaganda” and mocking its news coverage.

“You watch Fox News, it’s always, ‘Something terrible is about to happen’, ‘Something terrible did happen’, ‘These people are doing all these awful things’. It is totally divorced from reality, but it is superb propaganda, she said. “I don’t know the best way to puncture that. You have to hope that reality catches up with politics and entertainment at some point.”

She also called number one-rated news network a “wholly owned subsidiary of Trump and the Republican Party.”

Citing research on fascism by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Clinton said “various populist, rightwing, fascist, authoritarian movements and leaders destroy a common base of fact and evidence, creating an ‘alternative reality’.”

“One of the ways you do that is by consistently attacking the press,” said the former Democratic presidential candidate.

“Now [Trump] doesn’t attack Fox News, because they’re like a wholly owned subsidiary of Trump and the Republican party now. So he attacks the press and the broadcast media that raise questions about him, that don’t give him fidelity and loyalty,” she said.
