New Strzok-Page Emails Reveal “Special Treatment” for Clinton Lawyer, Judicial Watch Claims

Newly released emails between FBI lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page reveal that the bureau granted “special treatment” to Hillary Clinton’s lawyer in the lead-up to the 2016 election, according to government watchdog group, Judicial Watch.

Judicial Watch obtained the documents through a FOIA lawsuit and they reveal “how then-FBI General Counsel James Baker instructing FBI officials to expedite the release of FBI investigative material to Hillary Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall in August 2016. Kendall and the FBI’s top lawyer discussed specifically quickly obtaining the ‘302’ report of the FBI/DOJ interview of Mrs. Clinton.”

The documents also show the FBI failed to document at least four witness interviews in the Clinton email probe.

In an August 16, 2016 email, then-FBI General Counsel James Baker wrote in an email to colleagues–including Page–that he promised to process a document request from Kendall “expeditiously.”

I just spoke with David Kendall … I conveyed our view that in order to obtain the documents [FBI investigative material] they are seeking they need to submit a request pursuant to the Privacy Act and FOIA. I said they could submit a letter to me covering both statutes. They will send it in the morning. I said that we would process it expeditiously. David asked us to focus first on the Secretary’s 302 [FBI interview report]. I said OK. [Redacted] We will have to focus on this issue tomorrow and get the 302 out the door as soon as possible and then focus on the rest of the stuff.

The next day, Kendall emailed Baker a FOIA request on “behalf of former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton” requesting “expeditious processing.”

Baker forwarded the request to colleagues, and wrote, “In my view, we need to move as quickly as possible on this, but pursuant to David’s oral request last night, we should focus first on Secretary Clinton’s 302…. Is the end of this week out of the question for her 302?”

Documents also reveal that four FBI 302 reports of interviews relating to the Clinton email probe were never written.

Page responded to a colleague from the general counsel’s office that four 302s “had never been written:”

[Redacted] to the best of my knowledge, yes they will when Pete identified for [redacted] the DOJ edits that needed to be made to the 302s [redacted] discovered that there were four (I think) 302s that had never been written. What I don’t know is whose 302s they are but unless Pete or Jon are able to respond in short order, I would throw them on the pile for redactions. Thanks so much.

In New Op-Ed, Leaking Comey Claims FBI Didn’t Engage in Treason, Coup

In a new Washington Post op-ed, disgraced former FBI Director James Comey slammed President Trump’s “dumb lies” for claiming that he and other members of the FBI committed “treason” during the bureau’s Russia investigation.

“There was no corruption. There was no treason. There was no attempted coup. Those are lies, and dumb lies at that. There were just good people trying to figure out what was true, under unprecedented circumstances,” Comey wrote.

Last week, during an impromptu press conference, President Trump was asked who in the FBI he believed to have committed treason.

“Well I think a number of people, and I think what you look at is that they have unsuccessfully tried to take down the wrong person. If you look at [James] Comey, if you look at [Andrew] McCabe, if you look at probably people higher than that. If you look at [Peter] Strzok, if you look at his lover Lisa Page, his wonderful lover.”

In his delusional op-ed, the former FBI Director claimed the FBI “wasn’t out to get” the president and defended anti-Trump agent Peter Strzok.

“The conspiracy theory makes no sense. The FBI wasn’t out to get Donald Trump. It also wasn’t out to get Hillary Clinton. It was out to do its best to investigate serious matters while walking through a vicious political minefield,” Comey wrote.

The op-ed continues, “If we were ‘deep state’ Clinton loyalists bent on stopping him, why would we keep it secret? Why wouldn’t the much-maligned FBI supervisor Peter Strzok — the alleged kingpin of the ‘treasonous’ plot to stop Trump — tell anyone? He was one of the very few people who knew what we were investigating.”

“But go ahead, investigate the investigators, if you must. When those investigations are over, they will find the work was done appropriately and focused only on discerning the truth of very serious allegations.”

Former FBI General Counsel James Baker also claims there was no effort by the bureau to engage in a “coup d’état” against President Trump.

“I was there. There was no conspiracy. There was no effort to engage in treason, a coup d’état, what ever term you want to use. There was just none of that,” he told MSNBC’s Chuck Todd on Friday.

When asked if disgraced anti-Trump agent Peter Strzok engaged in unlawful conduct, Baker said, “Not to my knowledge.”

“I have not been made aware of any evidence that Pete violated the law — Pete or Lisa [Page], or anybody else violated the law in that regard, with respect to the investigation,” he said. “I didn’t see anything that I thought was politically motivated in terms of actions or missions on their part.”

FBI was Concerned Comey Appeared to be Blackmailing Trump, Official Claims

Former FBI general counsel James Baker said he and other officials were concerned that disgraced former FBI director James Comey appeared to be blackmailing then President-elect Trump during a 2017 meeting.

Fox News reports that Baker appeared on Yahoo News’ Skullduggery podcast on Tuesday where he said he and others were “quite worried” about Comey briefing Trump on January 6, 2017 on the Steele dossier and Russia collusion allegations. Baker claims “analogies” were made to former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover who is known for blackmailing his foes.

“We were quite worried about the Hoover analogies, and we were determined not to have such a disaster happen on our watch.”

Baker also discussed the discredited Steele dossier, claiming the FBI took it “seriously.”

Fox reports: Baker did not recall the moment he first heard about the Steele dossier but remembered the bureau taking it “seriously” and said that they were “obligated to deal with it” and determine whether or not anything about it was true, but insisted they didn’t accept it “as gospel.” He did, however, believe Trump had to be briefed on the dossier because it was “about to be disclosed to the press.”

Fmr Top FBI Lawyer Expects IG to Find “Mistakes” Made by Bureau in Trump Probe

The former top FBI attorney, James Baker said he expects DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz to find “mistakes” made by the bureau during its investigation into the Trump campaign.

The Washington Examiner reports that Baker appeared on CNN yesterday where he said, “The inspector general is looking at everything we did. If the IG usually finds mistakes that we made, so I expect him to find mistakes this time.”

Last week at an event in Washington, D.C., Baker said the Inspector General makes him “nervous” and explained that he took a major role in the oversight of the FISA warrant applications used to spy on then-Trump campaign volunteer, Carter Page.

The former FBI official also defended the bureau’s use of the Steele dossier, insisting the FBI was not “stupid.”

“We’re not stupid. The FBI. We’re not stupid.”

“We have an obligation to take that [Steele dossier] information seriously and to be highly skeptical … You go to work … You try to validate it … We don’t just swallow it hook, line, and sinker. … We spent a lot of time trying to vet that information line by line,” he said.

New Transcript: Strzok/Page Text Messages “Freaked Out” Top FBI Lawyer

Top FBI Lawyer James Baker told Congress that reading just “a couple” of text messages between FBI lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page “freaked” him out, according to CNSNews.

A newly released transcript of Baker’s October, 2018 testimony reveals the former top bureau lawyer said messages between the two lovers “worried” him and that he was concerned whether some decisions in the Clinton email investigation may have been “driven by political bias.”

Strzok–as CNSNews points out–was the lead counterintelligence investigator in both the Clinton email investigation and the Trump-Russia investigation and Page was an FBI attorney assigned to work with Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe. The two lovers exchanged thousands of text messages which included pro-Clinton, anti-Trump rhetoric.

Baker told Congress, “So I only read like a couple [Strzok/Page text messages], literally a couple. But that was enough for me to hear, that it freaked me out. And I was worried and I thought we need to get on top of this quickly.”

In the testimony, a Republican staffer asked Baker, “[I]t’s my understanding you played a very unique role early on with requesting that an inspection be done of the Midyear [Clinton email investigation] case once these texts became known.”

Baker replied:

So, yes, when I heard about these texts, I only read a few of them. They were described to me. And I immediately became quite alarmed. And so my thinking was, well, from a — from the — okay. I don’t know what — I know that — I knew that the inspector general was looking at them. I knew that they would address them. And so I knew that there was a process in place.

So what I was concerned about is whether — whether any decisions had been taken — or not taken — in the Midyear case that were driven by political bias of any sort. I was quite worried about that. And I wanted to make sure that we as an institution, the Bureau as an institution, got on top that extremely quickly.

And so I suggested to the leadership that we put together some type of team — I didn’t exactly know how to do that, but I consulted with other folks — to basically do a review of the case and have an independent group of people come in and look at and assess whether any decisions were made that looked unusual, that looked like they were driven by bias, decisions made, actions taken, or things not done.

That’s what I was also worried about, the omissions, right? So we talked about that, and there was an agreement to do that, and eventually it was set up and it was done.

At the outset I was also quite worried, knowing full well that the inspector general’s office was doing an investigation, that I didn’t want to mess up anything that they were doing. And so we worked in coordination with the inspector general. I actually spoke to him and made sure that he knew what we were doing — and his staff — knew what we were doing, why we wanted to do it, to make sure that it was okay with him. And he approved it, his office approved it.

So we went forward with this review, sort of done quietly off to the side. But from my perspective it was incumbent upon us as good managers to actually be good managers and to do this.

Trump DESTROYS Andrew McCabe After Disgraced Fmr. Official’s Stunning Claims

President Trump blasted former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe after he revealed in an new book and interview just how far he and other DOJ officials went to try to destroy the commander-in-chief.

“Disgraced FBI Acting Director Andrew McCabe pretends to be a “poor little Angel” when in fact he was a big part of the Crooked Hillary Scandal & the Russia Hoax – a puppet for Leakin’ James Comey. I.G. report on McCabe was devastating. Part of “insurance policy” in case I won….,” the President wrote on Twitter.”

He continued, “….Many of the top FBI brass were fired, forced to leave, or left. McCabe’s wife received BIG DOLLARS from Clinton people for her campaign – he gave Hillary a pass. McCabe is a disgrace to the FBI and a disgrace to our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

In an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes, McCabe said he ordered investigators to look into whether or not the President obstructed justice by firing disgraced FBI Director James Comey.

According to 60 Minutes host Scott Pelley, McCabe also confirmed reports that the Department of Justice was, indeed, looking into invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.

He also “confirms” a September 2018 New York Times report which claimed that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein offered to wear a wire and secretly record President Trump.

Rosenstein has denied the reports about him, and stories surfaced that he made the comments “in jest.” However, McCabe’s confirmation seems to be in line with former FBI General Counsel James Baker, who told Congress in a closed-door testimony he took Rosenstein’s recording comments “seriously.”

In a statement today, a DOJ spokesman again denied the claims, writing, “As the Deputy Attorney General previously has stated, based on his personal dealings with the President, there is no basis to invoke the 25th Amendment, nor was the DAG in a position to consider invoking the 25th Amendment,” the statement read.

Top FBI Lawyer to Congress: Hillary Clinton Should Have Been Charged in Email Scandal

Transcripts of former FBI General Counsel James Baker’s October testimony to Congress reveal that he believed Hillary Clinton should have been charged for her “alarming, appalling” mishandling of classified information, according to the Epoch Times.

Baker told Congress he argued with other members of the FBI, including disgraced former director, James Comey about the Clinton investigation.

“My original belief … after having conducted the investigation and towards the end of it, then sitting down and reading a binder of her materials, I thought that it was alarming, appalling, whatever words I said, and argued with others about why they thought she shouldn’t be charged,” he said.

Baker also seemed to take issue with the handling of the Trump-Russia investigation.

The Epoch Times writes:

Confronted with a damning summary of abnormalities, bias, and omissions, which transpired during the investigation, Baker told Congress that the investigation indeed was “highly unusual.”

“I had a jaundiced eye about everything, yes. I had skepticism about all this stuff. I was concerned about all of this. This whole situation was horrible, and it was novel and we were trying to figure out what to do, and it was highly unusual,” Baker told lawmakers.

**LISTEN: Dan breaks down the explosive revelations from Baker’s testimony**

Baker resigned from the FBI in May 2018 and it was recently revealed that he is the subject of a criminal leak investigation.

During his October testimony, Baker’s attorney, Daniel Levin told lawmakers, “You may or may not know, [Baker has] been the subject of a leak investigation … a criminal leak investigation that’s still active at the Justice Department.”

Baker’s congressional testimony made headlines last fall when it was revealed that he believed Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was “serious” when telling colleagues he wanted to secretly record President Trump.

While Baker himself was not in the room with Rosenstein when he made the comments, two of his associates were: FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and FBI lawyer, Lisa Page. Both McCabe and Page allegedly took Rosenstein seriously and conveyed that to Baker.
