Trump on Mueller’s July Testimony: “It Never Ends”

President Trump says “it never ends” after it was announced last night that Robert Mueller will testify before the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees on July 17.

Speaking to Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo this morning, the president slammed the bias within the special counsel team, many of whom had financially supported Democratic candidates–including Hillary Clinton.

“We had no obstruction we had no collusion we had a report that was–considering you had 18 people that hated Donald Trump and you had Mueller who obviously was not a Trump fan, not a Trump person–how these people were picked [to join the special counsel’s team] is by itself incredible and yet the report is no collusion, no obstruction which was ruled on by our great attorney general…”

Speaking about the origins of the FBI’s investigation into his campaign, President Trump said, “They got caught and they’re running around going wild trying to do everything they can, but they spied on my campaign, it’s as simple as that…It’s so illegal, it’s probably the biggest political scandal in history and they got caught doing it.”

House Judiciary panel chairman Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) and House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) announced in a joint statement last night that Mueller had agreed to testify before Congress following a subpoena.

“Pursuant to subpoenas issued by the House Judiciary and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence tonight, Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III has agreed to testify before both Committees on July 17 in open session,” reads the statement.

“Americans have demanded to hear directly from the Special Counsel so they can understand what he and his team examined, uncovered, and determined about Russia’s attack on our democracy, the Trump campaign’s acceptance and use of that help, and President Trump and his associates’ obstruction of the investigation into that attack.”

Meadows: Declassification of Key Russia Docs “Right Around the Corner”

Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) said the declassification of key documents tied to the Russia probe is “right around the corner,” in an interview with Fox News this morning.

Speaking about President Trump’s plans to declassify Russia probe documents, Meadows said, “I think the delay is over. I think the president is serious. I’ve spoken to him recently and I think declassification is right around the corner and hopefully the American people will be able to judge for themselves.”

Meadows said when Trump declassifies the records, “the American people will be astonished to see… the president was right…”

Meadows also agreed with former Congressman Trey Gowdy who said yesterday that the FBI has potentially game-changing transcripts relating to the Trump-Russia investigation.

“(Gowdy) has seen documents that actually I have not seen,” Meadows said.

“But we have come to the same conclusion and that is, indeed, (former Trump campaign associate) George Papadopoulos was actually taped and recorded” and that there are transcripts of the interviews that could shed light on the Russia probe and its origins, writes Fox News.

Speaking to Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on Sunday, Gowdy said, “If the bureau’s going to send in an informant in, the informant’s going to be wired, and if the bureau is monitoring telephone calls, there’s going to be a transcript of that.”

He continued, “Some of us have been fortunate enough to know whether or not those transcripts exist. But they haven’t been made public, and I think one in particular is going — it has the potential to actually persuade people. Very little in this Russia probe I’m afraid is going to persuade people who hate Trump or love Trump. But there is some information in these transcripts that has the potential to be a game-changer if it’s ever made public.”

Gowdy Bombshell: FBI has Potentially “Game-Changing” Papadopoulos Transcripts

Former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy (R) implied that he has read potentially game-changing FBI transcripts of its investigation into the Trump campaign as it relates to 2016 campaign volunteer George Papadopoulos.

Speaking to Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo yesterday, the Daily Caller reports that Gowdy said, “If the bureau’s going to send in an informant in, the informant’s going to be wired, and if the bureau is monitoring telephone calls, there’s going to be a transcript of that.”

Nunes Demands CIA, NSA, FBI, DOJ Provide Info on Mysterious Mifsud

Congressman Devin Nunes (R-CA) is requesting documents from the CIA, NSA, FBI and DOJ pertaining to the mysterious Maltese professor who told Trump campaign volunteer George Papadopoulos that the Russians had thousands of Hillary Clinton’s emails.

Nunes sent a letter to the government agencies on Friday evening where he requested “copies of all the information in your departments’ and agencies’ possession related to Joseph Mifsud, including emails, all relevant reports and records of his contact with any elements of the U.S. government.”

He told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo that he is “trying to get to the bottom of Mifsud” since he is the alleged catalyst for the entire Trump-Russia investigation.

“Well, we’re trying to get to the bottom of Mifsud, so as we talked about it on the last segment this guy originates the investigation. We know that as the Mueller team wrote this Mueller dossier, they used a lot of these news stories that sometimes were generated by leaks from the FBI. Now I don’t think the American people expect 20 DOJ lawyers and 40 FBI agents to write a 450-page report that’s built off of news stories that in many cases they generated,” he said.

He continued, “I particularly have a problem with this with one of the stories is because they pick a news story and then they cherry-pick from it, so they use it partly to describe where Mifsud worked, but then they fail to say in that same story, that they have given support to by using it in the Mueller dossier, they cherry-pick it and they don’t use that Mifsud was described as a ‘western intelligence asset.'”

Nunes went on to describe how Mifsud worked at Link Campus, a university in Malta, and said the FBI was at the school doing training all the time.

“So how is it that we spend 30+ million dollars on [the Mueller investigation], as taxpayers, and they can’t even tell us who Joseph Mifsud is?” the congressman asked.

Nunes then said he believes Mifsud has ties to the U.S. State Department and that he was invited to the U..S Capitol in 2017.

“And remember, why is Mifsud so important?” Nunes asked. “Because Mueller, the Mueller dossier team, they essentially make this guy out to be a Russian asset under the control of Putin, said that he has ties to these Russians. Sound familiar? ”

“So, this is the origination of this investigation and it seems like Mifsud has an awful lot of ties to U.S., British, and Italian intelligence services,” he continued.

Report: AG Barr “Pretty Upset” With Handling of Hillary Email Probe

Attorney General William Barr is reportedly “pretty upset” with the corrupt investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email investigation.

Speaking to Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo yesterday, Sen. Lindsey Graham said the attorney general was unhappy with the handling of the FBI probe into Clinton’s private server.

“So it seems to me that [Clinton] was interviewed not under oath. She had a couple of her staff people with her. People in her campaign were given immunity without anything in return. Nobody in the Clinton investigation went to jail for lying about the process because there was no process,” the senator said.

“I know Bill Barr pretty well, and he’s pretty upset about the way all this was handled,” he continued.

Graham said he was unsure if Barr would appoint a Special Prosecutor to look into the investigation and stressed that he was more concerned with the political bias within the DOJ/FBI that was on display during the Trump-Russia probe.

**LISTEN: Dan addresses the strong likelihood that Mueller knew he was investigating a hoax**

“I don’t know if he’s going to have a special prosecutor to look at the probability of criminal misbehavior,” Graham said. “I’m going to look at what happened from an oversight role. But I hope there’s a special counsel appointed to look at DOJ corruption and political bias, you know? Because Mueller did his job against Trump. Nobody’s really looked at the Clinton campaign, the FISA warrant abuse or the counterintelligence investigation for criminality yet and somebody should.”

Rep Jordan: “Three Key Facts” From Ohr’s Testimony that Disprove Schiff Memo

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) of of the House Oversight Committee joined Fox New’s Maria Bartiromo on Sunday and discussed the “three key facts” from DOJ official Bruce Ohr’s testimony to Congress that “disprove” Rep. Adam Schiff’s memo.

“Adam Schiff did his memo one year ago,” he reminded Bartiromo.  “And remember his memo was to try to undermine what Devin Nunes and his memo had to say. In Schiff’s memo…he says the Republicans ‘mischaracterize’ the influence of Bruce Ohr on the whole process and talk about a misleading timeline relative to Mr. Ohr,” the Congressman said.

Jordan stated the “three key facts” Ohr shared in his August 28, 2018 Congressional deposition that contradict Schiff’s memo were:

  1. “He said first of all Fusion was connected to the Clinton Campaign, Fusion GPS that put together the dossier.”
  2. “He said my wife Nellie Ohr worked for Fusion GPS.”
  3. “And the person Fusion hired, Christopher Steele, has deep bias against the president. So much so that Christopher Steele told Bruce Ohr himself…that Christopher Steele was “desperate” to stop Trump.”

Schiff’s memo,  Jordan reminds us, specifically states that Bruce Ohr only communicated dossier-related information with the FBI after the 2016 election and after the October 21 FISA application was delivered to the FISA Court.

“That is not accurate based on Bruce Ohr’s testimony to us in his deposition,” Jordan said.

“The most important fact, Maria, is that he communicated those key pieces of information to the FBI and DOJ prior to the election, more importantly prior to when the FBI and Department of Justice went to the FISA court to get the warrant to spy on Trump’s campaign. That is huge.”

Top GOP Rep: “I Would Not Be Surprised” If Flynn Conviction Overturned

House Judiciary and Oversight committee member Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) told Fox News yesterday that he wouldn’t be surprised if former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s conviction is overturned.

“I would not be surprised a bit if the conviction of Flynn is overturned because of the Justice Department FBI’s misconduct,” Issa said to Maria Bartiromo.

“When the FBI and the Department of Justice lies to someone and tricks them into making statements, and then charges them with a lie they entrapped them. This is conduct that we haven’t seen in a long time,” he continued.

Issa was referring to the shocking memo from Flynn’s attorneys last week which stated the FBI interviewed the three-star general under questionable pretenses and did not disclose to him the severity of the consequences if he lied to the agents because they wanted him to be “relaxed.”

That FBI interview eventually led to Flynn’s pleading guilty to lying to the FBI.

Former FBI Director James Comey was in charge at the time of the Flynn interview and will testify before Congress again today behind closed doors. He is expected to address these latest revelations in the Flynn case.

Congress will also press him on his disturbing comments–which came after his December 7 testimony–in which he told NBC’s Nicolle Wallace that he wouldn’t have “gotten away” with the Flynn interview if it was done in a “more organized administration.”

In a forum on December 9, Wallace said to Comey, “It’s hard to imagine two FBI agents ending up in the State Room. How did that happen?”

“I sent them,” said Comey. “Something we’ve, I probably wouldn’t have done or maybe gotten away with in a more organized investigation, a more organized administration.”

He continued, “So if the FBI wanted to send agents into the White House itself to interview a senior official, you would work through the White House counsel and there would be discussions and approvals and it would be there. I thought, ‘It’s early enough, let’s just send a couple of guys over.’”

Issa also told Bartiromo that he believed Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will still testify before Congress prior to the Democratic leadership takeover in the new year.

“I talked to Chairman Goodlatte. He is still working on it,” he said of the possibility of Rosenstein’s testimony. “Rosenstein would like to avoid it, but I think we’ll get him,” he said.
