Pro-Life “Unplanned” SOARS Past Planned Parenthood in Twitter Followers

Pro-life movie “Unplanned” has surpassed the main Planned Parenthood Twitter account in followers after experiencing what many supporters believe to be censorship by the social media giant.

One day after the film’s March 29 premiere, the Twitter account for the movie was briefly suspended–something Twitter chalks up to a mistake. Videos also circulated social media showing users unable to follow the Twitter account for the movie.

Actress Patricia Heaton said she tried eight times to support the film on Twitter, but was unable to do so:

Since then, the @UnplannedMovie account has amassed over 326,000 followers–beating out Planned Parenthood’s 259,000 followers (as of today).

The film, about former Planned Parenthood worker turned pro-life activist Abby Johnson, was expected to take in only $2-3 million and instead made $6.1 million in its weekend box office debut, taking 5th place.
