A Loudoun County public school teacher resigned during a school board meeting Tuesday, stating that she wouldn’t continue being a part of their “highly politicized agendas.”
“I have struggled with the idea of returning to school, knowing that I’ll be working yet again with a school division that despite its shiny tech and flashy salary promotes political ideologies that do not square with who I am as a believer in Christ,” she told the board in a viral video.
She went on the blast the board for shutting the meeting to the public, accused them to encouraging teachers to report other teachers for dissent, and making discriminatory comments against her Christian faith.
Choking back tears, she concluded “School board, I quit. I quit your policies. I quit your trainings. And I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas on our most vulnerable constituents, the children.”
