Just weeks ago, at the end of November, Biden said that new lockdowns were off the table “for now,” but left himself some wiggle room.

It’s hard to believe anything from the man who promised he’d “shut down” the virus only to see more deaths on his watch than under Trump. Though because he has the media on his side, they haven’t turned this into a “read my lips: no new taxes” moment for him.

While we don’t know the specifics yet, Biden is set to speak on new COVID measures – and so urgent are they that Biden is waiting until Tuesday to tell us what they are.

According to Fox News:

As the omicron variant of the coronavirus is poised to become the new leading variant in the United States, many schools and businesses are closing their doors over what President Biden is predicting to be a winter of “severe illness and death.”

President Biden has previously claimed he would “shut down the virus,” and added he would not “shut down the economy” or “shut down the country.” Biden is set to speak to the country on Tuesday to outline additional steps he will take to combat the spread of the virus.

Across the country, schools are beginning to shift to remote learning, restaurants are closing their doors to the public, and events are once again being canceled as a result of the new omicron variant of the coronavirus.

When Trump was in charge, Biden followed the media’s lead in blaming every single COVID death on him. After the U.S. topped 200,000 deaths eight months into the pandemic, Biden called on Trump to step down as a result of it. Biden saw over 200,000 COVID deaths during the first six months of his presidency, and with total deaths topping 800k, more COVID deaths have occurred on Biden’s watch than Trump’s despite the vaccine advantage and improvements in treating the virus.

Miraculously, in one of history’s great coincidences, Biden managed to take office on January 20, 2021 at the exact moment that the media stopped blaming Presidents for COVID deaths.

In fact, he’s so insulated from criticisms that if you ask him about him bearing any responsibility, he laughs:

Id prefer if he consistently applied his own advice and stepped down.
