As of late Sunday night Dorian has weakened brining what is hopefully its final damage to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Thus far at least 43 deaths in the Bahamas have been confirmed and North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper has confirmed two deaths from the storm.

CBS News revealed much of Dorians devastation thus far and what actions are being taken to aid its crushed path:

-The Coast Guard has rescued at least 290 people in the Bahamas.

-Nearly 70,000 people are believed to be homeless and death tolls expect to rise dramatically as thousands of people remain missing.

-The cruise ship company The Celebrity Equinox sent around 10,000 meals and additional aid.

-Delta Airlines sent a flight filled with 4,700 pounds of critical supplies…including non-perishable food, water, diapers, formula, underwear and socks. “Once supplies were unloaded, the flight departed for Nassau with 59 evacuees.”

-The FAA has issued a temporary flight restriction for Bahamian airspace in order to reserve the space for search and rescue and humanitarian assistance.

-Half a million people were left without power in Nova Scotia
