Trump Blasts Obama as “One of the Worst” Presidents in History

The war of words continues to escalate between former President Barack Obama(gate) and President Donald Trump.

After being hounded by Trump over the spygate scandal, Obama took a shot at Trump when he delivered a virtual commencement speech, blasting the “lack of leadership” in response to the coronavirus. Obama didn’t name anyone specifically, but you don’t have to do any sleuthing to realize who he was talking bout.

Trump replied by calling Obama an incompetent president.

Then on Monday the two tangled again, this time in regards to the ceremony to unveil Obama’s presidential portrait at the White House. President Trump said he was refusing to unveil the portrait – and Obama said that he wouldn’t attend such a ceremony anyway with Trump in the office, breaking a 40 year tradition. (The last time this tradition was broken was when Carter didn’t attend a ceremony for his portrait’s unveiling when Reagan was in office).

And then Trump had some additional commentary.

According to the Washington Examiner:

President Trump admonished former President Barack Obama, calling him “one of the worst presidents” in American history.

“I think President Obama was one of the worst presidents in the history of our country. I think he was an incompetent president,” Trump said during a session with reporters at the White House. “He left a broken military. ISIS was all over the place, and I got rid of it, I knocked out 100% of the caliphate. And when I came in, it was a mess. … We had a broken military, we had a depleted military, we had little on the shelves if you talk about pandemics.”

I can only disagree with Trump when he says that Obama was *one of* the worst presidents. Only in a world where Hillary Clinton was president could Obama he second-worst.
