On Tuesday, President Trump held one of his signature campaign rallies. In an epic troll of the media, the campaign handed out signs saying “peaceful protester.”

According to the Daily Caller, Trump told the audience that he has decided to call the rallies “peaceful protests,” and said that it is partly because of North Carolina’s maximum capacity mandates in order to stop the coronavirus spread.

The Daily Caller continues that Trump said “[B]ecause they have rules in these Democrat-run states that if you campaign you cannot have more than five people.

“You can’t go to church, you can’t do anything outside. If you are willing to riot, running down the main street, if you want to riot and stand on top of each other’s face and do whatever the hell you want to do, you are allowed to do that because you are considered a peaceful protester.”

Ever since the death of George Floyd in May, the media and Democrats have rationalized nationwide protests and violent riots as being for a good cause, even with a lack of social distancing due to coronavirus concerns. 1,288 public health professionals, infectious diseases professionals, and community stakeholders even penned an open letter arguing that “white supremacy is a lethal public health issue that predates and contributes to COVID-19.”

The letter continued that “[P]rotests against systemic racism, which fosters the disproportionate burden of COVID-19 on Black communities and also perpetuates police violence, must be supported.”

Hence, either a potential viral spread is worth it in the name of fighting racism, or coronavirus is the wokest of all time and only affects non-Leftist causes.

Whichever option is correct, Trump’s reminder about how hypocritical the media and Democrats are is a real breath of fresh air.
