While rallying in Ohio for Republican Senate candidate J.D. Vance last night, Donald Trump came the closest he ever has to announcing a 2024 run, indicating that he only wasn't explicitly declaring at that moment because of the midterm elections today.
"Two years ago we were a great nation, and we will be a great nation again. Not to detract from tomorrow's very important, critical election… I'm going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday Nov. 15 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach" he told the crowd.
Watch below:
Earlier in the rally Trump read through a series of polls showing him as the overwhelming favorite in a 2024 Republican primary. Trump also endorsed Ron DeSantis, who polls the highest against him in a hypothetical 2024 matchup, for Governor.
Trump has hinted for over a year that he's interested in a third presidential run, and just days ago told supporters in Iowa "I will very, very, very probably do it again, OK? Very, very, very probably. Get ready. That’s all I’m telling you. Very soon. Get ready. Get ready."
