Trump Torches Acosta and CNN On Their Coverage of Flynn
As we reported yesterday, handwritten notes that came out of the FBI made it extremely obvious that the bureau framed former national security advisor Michael Flynn was framed by the Obama deep-state into a perjury trap regarding his talking with the Russian ambassador Sergei Kysliak.
CNN, like the other Leftist media outlets, was seemingly gleeful to report on it at the time while pushing the phony Trump/Russia collusion scandal. Once the news broke that proved conclusively that Flynn was framed, President Trump tweeted a well-deserved rip into CNN:
.@CNN doesn’t want to speak about their persecution of General Michael Flynn & why they got the story so wrong. They, along with others, should pay a big price for what they have purposely done to this man & his family. They won’t even cover the big breaking news about this scam!

So during press questions, CNN’s Jim Acosta asked Trump if he plans to pardon Flynn based on this, and if the President still stands by a tweet he wrote in 2017 explaining why he had to originally fire Flynn for lying to the FBI.
I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!

Trump responded that “dirty cops” at the FBI “tormented General Flynn.”
As reported by TheBlaze, Trump said, “[Y]ou see the notes, Jim. What they did to General Flynn … was a disaster and a disgrace, and it should never be allowed to happen in this country, again.
Trump then added, “CNN tormented him, in all fairness. I hope to see that CNN will — not even apologize, which they should, but just cover it fairly — because he is in the process of being exonerated. If you look at those notes from yesterday, that was total exoneration. These were dirty, filthy cops at the top of the FBI. They were dishonest people. Now we have to see what’s going to happen. General Flynn was treated like nobody … should be treated.
“I hope that CNN is going to give him a fair shake and cover it. I think it would be so good for CNN if you covered it honestly and if you reported honestly. It would be so good for the network.”
