A proposed mask ordinance by the Charleston County City Council that called for all children over the age of 2 to wear masks at all public facilities, “including public schools, private schools and daycares” went down in flames following mass resistance from parents, who have been forced to assume the role of babysitting our leaders. The Charleston County school district is the second largest in South Carolina.
One by one, parents spoke out against the ordinance at a city council meeting, and they ended up scoring a victory, with the council failing to adopt the mandate. It’s the latest reminder that if we don’t obey, they can’t enforce it.
