Watch: Biden SNAPS at NBC Host After they Asked About Hunter, Burisma
Democratic presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden was enraged earlier today when he was asked about his son, Hunter Biden’s shady business dealings with Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings.
In an interview with NBC, Today show host, Savannah Guthrie pointed out how the impeachment proceedings against President Trump led to scrutiny surrounding Hunter and Burisma.
“No one’s found anything wrong with his dealings in Ukraine except they said that it’s a ‘bad image,'” Biden fired back.
“Do you think it was wrong for him to take that position knowing it was really because that company wanted access to you?” asked Guthrie.
This question prompted Biden to snap back, saying, “That’s not true. You’re saying things you do not know what you’re talking about. No one said that. Who said that?”
To her credit, Guthrie doubled down, claiming some might see Hunter’s role at Burisma as “sleazy.”
“Don’t you think that it’s just one of those things where people think ‘well that seems kind of sleazy why would he have that job if not for who his father was?'” said the NBC host.
“Because he’s a very bright guy,” Biden replied.
Hunter has a long history of substance abuse and was discharged from the Navy for his use of cocaine. He also had no experience in the oil and gas industry prior to his position with Burisma.
He served on the board of Burisma from 2014 to 2019 and reportedly had received up to $50,000 a month from the company.
Iowa Senator Joni Ernst (R) says if elected, the Senate could move to impeach Biden over Hunter’s involvement with Ukraine.
“I think this door of impeachable whatever has been opened,” Ernst said in an interview with Bloomberg News. “Joe Biden should be very careful what he’s asking for because, you know, we can have a situation where if it should ever be President Biden, that immediately, people, right the day after he would be elected would be saying, ‘Well, we’re going to impeach him.'”
