A Chick-Fil-A worker in Georgia is being hailed a hero after his quick thinking helped save a 6-year-old boy who was choking in his car.
WSB-TV reports that teenager Logan Simmons was working at the restaurant when a panicked mother in the drive-thru lane was found begging for help after her son’s seatbelt somehow became tangled around his neck.
“I just jumped out the window and ran straight down to the car,” Simmons said. “I think it was the quickest option. It was right there and I saw the other car right there.”
“You could see he was turning red and losing pigmentation in his face,” said Simmons.
Fortunately, Simmons had a pocket knife on him and used it to cut the boy free.
An hour after the incident, Simmons received a phone call from the boy’s mother thanking him for saving her son’s life.
