WATCH: Collins RIPS Dems, Says they Mourn Soleimani More than they Mourn for Gold Star Families
Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA) did not hold back yesterday, claiming Democrats are more upset over the death of Iranian terrorist Qassem Soleimani than they are for the Gold Star families who lost loved ones due to his evil terrorist acts.
The Daily Wire notes that Collins was speaking to Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs, and said those across the aisle are also “in love with terrorists.”
“Meanwhile the Democrats are tomorrow talking about constraining his authorities as commander-in-chief vis-a-vis Iraq,” said Dobbs to Collins. “How venal, how vapid can one party become?”
Collins responded, “If it wasn’t so sad and serious with our country to have Nancy Pelosi, I did not think she could become more hypocritical than she was in impeachment, but guess what, surprise, surprise, Nancy Pelosi does it again and her Democrats fall right in line.
Collins is hardly alone in his sentiments about Democrats and their twisted sensitivity towards the treatment of terrorists and their regimes.
Earlier this week, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley unleashed on the party, claiming its members were the “only ones” who are mourning Soleimani’s death.
Haley told Fox News’ Sean Hannity, “You’re not hearing China. you’re not hearing Russia. The only ones that are mourning the loss of Soleimani are our Democrat leadership and our Democrat presidential candidates.”
Haley praised the president for his decisive action on Iran, saying “What the president did left the Iranian regime completely flat-footed. They did not see this coming. They thought they could continue to do their multiple strikes.”
Haley was widely criticized by those on the left for her comments, and when reached for comment, they released a statement standing by her claims.
“It doesn’t have to be literally crying over the casket like Ayatollah Khamenei,” the statement said. “Leading Democrats are aggressively arguing that we would be better off if Qassem Soleimani was still alive today. That is effectively mourning his death.”
Soleimani was killed in a U.S. airstrike last week at Baghdad Airport. He was responsible for the deaths of 608 U.S. troops and according to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, President Trump gave the orders to kill Soleimani due to “imminent threats” to American lives.
